Box machine
Box machine
Teagle offers a wide range of bedding machines with a shredder or bedding boxes.
The smallest model is the 7100, a 3-point linkage machine. In general, 3-point linkage machines are not as efficient as trailed machines, simply because the floor chain is shorter, so the machine is not too heavy to handle. This makes it harder to get the straw to “roll around” in front of the shredder, which is essential for high capacity and a steady flow of bedding material.
In addition to the 7100, which is available as both a 3-point linkage and trailed machine with one shredder drum, the following models are available:
8100 trailed with one shredder drum
8500 trailed with one shredder drum
9500 trailed with two shredder drums and a longer floor chain.
1010 trailed with two shredder drums and a long floor chain for handling two big bales.
Teagle is the only bedding machine on the market that can chop straw to a reasonably consistent length. The shredder drum is fitted with Hardox fingers instead of knives. The fingers pull the straw through a counter knife, which cuts it, before the material passes over a screen. Straw cut to the required length passes through the screen, while longer straw makes another pass over the counter knife.
The counter knives leave a clean cut, making the straw ideal for mixing into total mixed rations, as it retains its structure, unlike straw chopped in a hammer mill, which softens it.
Models with chopping function:
7150 trailed and 3-point linkage, with one shredder and a knife bar.
8150 trailed, with one shredder and a knife bar.
8555 trailed, with one shredder and a knife bar.
The above are standard machines, all fitted with full road lighting and support legs on trailed models.
All machines have hydraulic control of all functions, operated electronically via Bluetooth, so no cable is needed between the tractor and the machine.
In addition to the standard machines above, we are happy to adapt each machine to the customer’s requirements. This could include low-level discharge to clear roof overhangs, or other modifications to meet special requirements.
We believe that we can almost always find a solution to adapt our machines to the customer’s needs.
